1 - Carry a notebook or write in the notes section of your phone.

Write down your concerns and questions. Instead of calling on every thought or event, reviewing your questions on your weekly visit enables you to have the full attention of the project manager as he will be up to speed as to what is going on in your home and can most likely answer all your questions on that visit!

2 - Be realistic in your expectations.

Bringing all the trades necessary together is what we do! At times there are moments when stuff happens. For example, a few years ago a truck carrying kitchen cabinets crashed on the freeway because of a snow storm. That put the schedule behind on some homes... while that doesn't make the waiting easier it helps in understanding that no one was at fault! The question you should be wondering is how will we, the builder, deal with the change? Good communication as well as listening is essential! We will share what happened and how we plan to adjust the schedule. This leads us to our final thought.....

3 - Expect us to communicate with you!

Ask questions, understanding the procedures will help you to know what is going to happen next! Being thorough in looking at your contract will ensure you are getting everything you want and deserve!
